Jade Windscreen is based on the classical formula Jade Windscreen Powder (Yu ping feng san), a quintessential formula to bolster the Defensive (Wei) Qi against the ravages of weather and environmental challenges. Jade Windscreen specifically treats deficiency of the Defensive (Wei) Qi, the first line of defense against Wind Cold Damp pathogens that can disturb the equilibrium of health. Our version of this formula has been modified from the original prescription with herbs to harmonize the Nutritive (Ying) and Defensive (Wei) Qi, and further supplement the Middle Burner and Qi.

Jade Windscreen is an effective formula for the prevention and resolution of recurrent colds and allergies, or chronic problems with spontaneous sweating and a marked dislike of drafts.
